Write for Central Desi

We tell the stories of New Jersey’s Desi community. Read through our archive to get a flavor for our work before pitching.

While we occasionally accept story ideas related to the Desi community at large, your idea must be relevant to our local community.

To pitch a story, send an email to [email protected] that includes your story idea, how you will report it (who you will interview, what research you will conduct, etc.), and a link to your previous published work.

If sending a written story, it should be 600-750 words and include original reporting on a topic that has relevance to our audience.
